Education

I am currently finishing a bachelor of Languages at The University of Adelaide. I will finish with a double major in Chinese and Japanese at the end of this year. I also have a teaching English as a second language(TESOL) certificate 4 qualification.

Experience

During the process of gaining my TESOL qualification, I experienced 3 months of on the job work teaching a diverse range of adult ESL students. I am very passionate about language acquisition and teaching English. I have experience in coaching sports so I am familiar in teaching students of all ages and backgrounds.

Hobbies

I am very interested in many different cultures. In particular Chinese and Japanese. This interest in culture sparked my love of these two languages. In my downtime I play a roller skating sport (roller derby) where I both compete and coach in. I enjoy traveling and learning about different places , people and cultures. Being involved in roller derby and as a language student and teacher, I am able to enjoy all these interests, travel and make friends. I hope to not only provide students with a better understanding of English, but to also develop new friendships along the way.
