Experience
I was a private tutor in New Zealand before taking my skills to Auckland for five years. I focus on science, chemistry, and mathematics as a tutor. I can teach both statistics and calculus and love to use online tools to enhance the learning process. I currently teach science and maths at a college in Canberra. I believe in scientific inquiry learning as it enables students to develop a positive self-concept as learners and gain confidence in and enjoyment from their learning. Through active participation in challenging and engaging experiences, students become self-motivated, independent learners. Their understanding of science and its social and cultural contexts provides a basis for students to make reasoned evidence-based future choices and ethical decisions, and to engage in finding innovative solutions to science-related personal, social and global issues, including sustainable futures.
