Education
I am currently studying towards PhD in Computer Science at UNSW Canberra. My research involves a great deal of advanced mathematics, mechanics, and programming. I also have an MSc degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from KAIST, South Korea, where I earned a GPA of 3.95/4.30. During my MSc, I studied the mathematics and computer science behind management science, including operations research, simulations, and machine learning. I also have a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from Alfaisal University, Saudi Arabia, where I earned a GPA of 3.99/4.00. My favorite branch of mechanical engineering is finite element structure analysis, which I am using in my PhD thesis to make algorithms that optimize shapes of structures such as bridges, buildings, and frames.
Experience
I have a general passion for applied mathematics and for how the human mind perceives and thinks about mathematics. Mathematics is all about logic in a compact form, often abstract to be generic enough but we are very much in touch with it in our daily lives. I believe that everyone with a good imagination can learn mathematics and everyone can develop a good imagination. I have casually tutored Python programming at KAIST and officially tutored Java at Alfaisal University and Matlab at UNSW Canberra.
